Richard Lazarus

Richard Lazarus

Howard and Katherine Aibel Professor of Law; Co-Director, Environmental and Energy Law Program

Professor Lazarus teaches environmental law, natural resources Law, Supreme Court advocacy, and torts. He has represented the United States, state and local governments, and environmental groups in the United States Supreme Court in 40 cases and has presented oral argument in 14 of those cases.

Professor Jacobs is on the Faculty of Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health's Center for Health and the Global Environment, is a Special Advisor to the HLS Dean on Learning and Practice, is a member of the American College of Environmental Lawyers, and is on the board of the Clean Air Task Force.
