The Emmett Environmental Law hosted a three-day conference on Climate Change Displacement: Finding Solutions to an Emerging Crisis on October 20-22 along with the International Human Rights Clinic and the Harvard Immigration and Refugee Clinic. The conference examined challenges of climate change, human rights, and displacement, and efforts to address this emerging crisis in the wake of the Paris COP 21 agreement.
One of the highlights of the conference was a conversation between Mary Robinson, Former President of Ireland, and Harvard Law School Dean Martha Minow. Mrs. Robinson and Dean Minow discussed the topics of climate change, human rights, and displacement. Mrs. Robinson is formerly the UN High Commissioner on Human Rights, as well as the former UN Special Envoy on Climate Change.
